QUESTIONS

Why a Launcher?

Since I was 17, I haven’t stopped bringing my ideas to life. I’ve always been able to independently come up with a concept, develop a website, create a brand, build a business model, test, and launch a project. This is what I truly enjoy doing, and I’ve achieved success in some of these projects. Over time, I’ve learned not only how to understand what is worth realizing, but also where to keep focus to avoid wasting resources on things that don’t make sense.

I have an idea, what should I do next?

Great question, it means you’re ready to move forward! It’s important to first understand where you are — what knowledge, experience, contacts, and expectations you have. Why did you choose this particular idea? What motivates you? The path of a founder is tough, and if your motivation is based not only on finances but also on love for what you do, you have a good chance of success. You need to assess your current state, release any built-up tension and expectations, and take the first easy and clear step. That’s where I come in to help.

I’m {an English teacher}, there are many like me, how can I stand out?

You can narrow down your target audience and offer a niche, specialized service. For example, instead of general {English teaching}, you could focus on the {British accent}. The more unique and specialized your service is, the easier it will be to attract your audience. People are always willing to pay for a high-level and specialized approach.

I want to raise an investment to launch my idea.

Raising investment at the idea stage rarely brings the desired result. If you have an idea, in most cases, a small amount of money is enough to test its potential. However, what’s far more important is your time and commitment to the idea. Take the first step yourself: build a prototype, test the idea, think through all the details, and give the idea time to “settle.” This process not only helps you understand the problem more deeply but also gives you the confidence to convince investors to fund your project.

Uncertainty at the start of a project.

At the beginning of any project, you can usually only see 1-2 steps ahead. What will ensure the success of your business usually reveals itself around the 10th step. Therefore, it’s important to accept that there will always be a period of uncertainty at the start — and that’s normal. Progress takes time, and the ability to work under uncertain conditions helps you keep moving forward until more clarity emerges.

My idea is not unique..

How unique is the bakery near your house? Someone may have opened it just to make money, while someone else truly loves the craft, studies the perfect baking temperatures, flour varieties, ingredient ratios, bread shapes, spices, and other details. It’s not just about business — it’s about a love for the process. It’s not always important to be unique; what matters is loving what you do and putting your heart into it — and that always works.

Who should I target my business toward?

The main rule is to work with the local audience, regardless of who you are or where you’re from: in the Czech Republic — focus on Czechs, in Germany — focus on Germans, and so on. This is a fundamental step toward success in any business in the broader sense.

I work in a large company, and I have an idea. How can I start working on my idea sooner?

Assess how ready you are for this step: financially, emotionally, and in terms of your time. Start by working on the project in your free time, create a prototype, and test the idea in practice. If the project gains momentum, you could consider transitioning to freelance or part-time work to free up more time for developing your idea. Some prefer to build a financial cushion before fully committing to their project, while others seek early investments or grants to minimize risk. It all depends on your resources and your confidence in the project.

Founder sales

My method of expanding Vocalls into Latin America was, to say the least, unconventional. I noticed that our competitor had hired an interesting person from Latin America who lives in Prague. I invited him for coffee, understood his frustrations and motivations, evaluated his contacts, and managed to bring him over to our side. Through his connections in Mexico, I got the chance to showcase our product to a major logistics company. I took a risk, gathered part of the team, and flew with them to Mexico, relying on this potential client. By investing around $50k almost blindly, based on my assessment of the situation, we successfully completed a pilot project and signed a contract worth $1.7M. This was a classic example of founder sales — when the founder personally handles sales in the early stages of the company’s development.

How long does it take to finally launch a project?

Founders often tend to envision their product as super impressive in the first version, overloading it with functionality. However, for successful progress, much less is needed than it seems. It’s all about focus. The product should be simple and solve one key problem, rather than trying to cover everything at once. If the focus is too broad, the product becomes complicated, and its value becomes unclear to customers.

What are the collaboration options?

Intro — Free, 15-minute call. Introduce yourself, talk about your problem, ambitions, and goals. We’ll discuss your situation and determine if I can help, and how we can move forward.

One-time Call — 150 €. A brief consultation where we’ll discuss your current issue and try to find the optimal solution. This format is perfect for targeted assistance.

Focus and Support — This is a flexible format where I’m available for consultations via email or calls to help you address key issues and focus on priorities. If needed, we can also meet in person to discuss details and map out the way forward.

Strategic Partner — I can provide deeper support and participate in key aspects of your business. The format is discussed individually and adapted to your needs.

NOTES

It would be great if the iPhone had a few useful features added. For example, the ability to mark a call as “important.” Someone calls you, and you can see that it’s urgent and can’t wait.

Also, there’s a need for a “Can I call you?” button, so that before dialing, you can send a push notification to ask if the person is available to talk now for 10 min. If anyone knows Apple — pass this along to them pls.

Long ago I used to think about creating an app called “Randomizer.” The idea was to upload some habits you want to implement or short tasks to step out of your comfort zone. Then, you could simply open the app, press the “Randomize” button, and it would select one of these tasks that can be completed in 15 minutes. It always worked this way for me: if I know in advance that I need to do something I don’t particularly like, but it’s useful, I start overthinking, and laziness takes over. But if the task comes up randomly, it seems easier to start. At least, that’s how it seems to me.

There’s one rule that may seem difficult to follow, but it’s incredibly helpful: Create a pitch deck right when you launch your company and update it every few months, even if you don’t plan to attract investment. It’s a great way to clear your mind and stay focused. By doing this, you gain a better understanding of your product and the key areas that need to be developed.

It would be great if there was a company that helped people “ground” themselves occasionally. For example, you’re a CEO, important person dealing with big decisions for a lot of money...., but for one day, you could go work as a delivery person for Wolt. It’s a great way to temporarily relieve stress and reconnect with reality.

Maybe one day I’ll open a café for one year just to experiment with the interior, presentation, and drinks. Then, after a year, I’ll simply close it. It would be a great experience that allows to bring all ideas to life without long-term commitments.

I love music so much, and long ago I came up with this idea. An app where everyone grooves to music together online. You just open it, see tracks that are currently playing online, and pick the one you like. A video stream opens, where you see a split screen with many people dancing to that track. You can hear the music and join in to vibe with them. Musicians who release the track can also participate and dance along with everyone to their own music. All in real time.

How much I love these: Radiohead, Whoop, On, GPT

WHAT I think I’m pretty good at

Identifying where a project or thoughts are stuck and helping to find the way forward.

Setting priorities and focusing on the most important things.

Thinking outside the box, avoiding conventional solutions, and disregarding industry-standard approaches to problem-solving.

Grilling an idea so that you understand that grilling an idea is a good thing and that it’s worth always trying to critically evaluate ideas and periodically grill them.

Quickly understanding what not to do.

Extensive Networking in CZ, the EU, and the UK

Often managing to uncover a new level of value in an idea or a product.

SOME of my projects

I have launched many different businesses. Some of them turned out to be successful. My goal has always been to do things differently from what’s commonly done around me or to create a business that fundamentally stands apart from others. I strive to go beyond standard solutions and experiment with new approaches.
